Chichen Itza, the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire, is the most important archaeological site in the area, which reached its peak during the XI and XII centuries and was abandoned in the fifteenth. Chichen Itza was declared in 1988 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and recently one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Chichen Itza buildings were built based on mathematical calculations of the Mayan astronomers known as Itzaes (or magicians of water). The architectural complex covers an area of 15 Km, Highlighting the Temple of the Warriors, The Observatory, The Sacred Cenote, The Ballgame and others where you will be able to appreciate the greatness of this ancient Mayan metropolis.
